I updated to bios 3.20 from 1.80 on my B450 Pro4 and now the addressable RBG doesn't work right in bios and Polychrome doesn't seem to change the it at all. I wanted to see if it still worked with my Ryzen 2700X before I put in a 3rd gen Ryzen. I may have to test out the other M.2 slot and other things. Has anyone ran 3800X or 3900X on any Asrock B450?

it works unless it explictly says so

asrock doesn't recommend it because it doesn't have any benefit to older cpu

Question: Why with the newer BIOS "Update AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.4 Patch B"
does ASRock have the following disclaimer?

*ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if Pinnacle, Raven, Summit or Bristol Ridge CPU is being used on your system.

I don't see these kinds of disclaimers on other vendors websites so it leaves me to wonder.

Aren't the BIOS supposed to be backward compatible? What problems will you have if you update and run BIOS with a Pinnacle Ridge CPU?

Greetings! on x470taichi when switching from 3.77 to 3.78, the settings were reset. Saved profile does not apply. Is that all?

Exactly, what is the problem with some B450 Motherboards that those are not receiving a official bios update but B350 do.

This is not official policy however I'll take your word for it, but even with that being so its at their discretion to support you with a BIOS they have not approved, never mind us as consumers having to trust a BIOS they have not approved.

I'm not taking that risk, i need my PC and if anything goes wrong i'm going to be without it for the weeks? That its in RMA.

I like ASRock, i like the products, but the after purchase support experience has me searching for my next products that are specifically not ASRock when what i wanted was to stay with them.

Just release an approved 1004B BIOS for my AB350, what's the problem?
