I am sure most of you know by now, Ryzen 3000 has launched and there are BIOS updates available to support it.

As with second gen Ryzen launch I am seeing a lot of first and second gen Ryzen users updating to the latest BIOS and having issues with their systems.

Please guys, if you are not upgrading to Ryzen 3000 DO NOT UPDATE your BIOS at this early stage. In a few months all these teething issues should be resolved and you can try out the latest BIOS version if that is of interest to you.

Generally speaking, if your system is working as intended and you do not have issues with the BIOS then don't update. Ryzen in particular is a fickle beast that is prone to issues from one BIOS version to the next.

Most of the changes in the new updates are explicitly to add Ryzen 3000 support and will have absolutely no benefit to first and second gen Ryzen systems.

Hello all. I have questions as I have never done a BIOs update.

Computer info

X570 phantom gaming 4
16 gigs of ram
Ryzen 5 3600
Windows 10

Now the motherboard is on the original Bios that it came with (American Megatrends P2.20 - AMD AGESA Combo - AM4 1.0.0.4 - 11/25/2019) and is running fine. I was thinking about doing the upgrade to Windows 11 sooner or later but I can't as it says I don't have TPM 2.0. Which Bios should I update to so I have it or does this mainboard not support it at all?

Hi all. Has anyone any experience with updating BIOS on A320M-HDV R4.0 please ??

Experienced all sorts of issues with MS FlightSim updates. Ensured all W10 Pro Updates were installed and also drivers from manufacturers websites were latest versions. Issues persisted. Only thing left was to check BIOS.

A320M-HDV R4.0
AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Pinnacle Ridge CPU
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
16GB DDR4
W10 Pro

I was on BIOS v2.30   dated     01JUL2019

ASRock support page CPU Support List states 'All' BIOS are validated.

I updated BIOS to v7.00 which is a 'bridge' BIOS before updating to v7.04.

On first reboot, I was met with a BLUE Recovery page: (also on subsequent boot ups having reset new BIOS to load default settings)

>> Your PD/Device needs to be repaired
The application or operating system could not be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors.
File:\WINDOWS\system32\winload.exe
Error code: 0xc000000f
You need to use recovery tools. If you don't have any installation media, contact your PC manufacturer or PC/Device manufacturer
PRESS Enter to try again
PRESS F8 for Startup Settings
PRESS F9 to use a different operating system <<

Pressing Enter did nothing
Pressing F8 did nothing
Pressing F9 took me to another BLUE screen ... Choose an Operating System

Choice was W10 or W10 Pro (with a countdown timer for W10 to run automatically)

Selecting W10 Pro, my PC boots up normally and runs correctly !!

QUESTIONS: Has anyone else suffered same issue ?? How do I report this to ASRock ?? What danger might there be in my proceeding to update BIOS to v7.04 ?? Thank you in advance.

PS. subsequent to writing above, I have sorted out (removed) the BLUE screens on boot up by going to:

Control Panel > System & Security > Systems > Advanced System Settings > Startup & Recovery > and untick 'time to display list of operating systems' and selecting W10 Pro as default operating system.

BUT ... I am still nervous about what has happened and what 'might' happen going forward onto BIOS v 7.04 ?? Might there be dangers of remaining on a so called 'bridge BIOS' ?? Thank you once more. Hope I have explained my issue correctly. BRgds

It should, I have the same MB with a 1600AF (Zen+) and it works fine. Updated it 1st day out and no issues yet.

hi, im running x370 gaming X with ryzen 3800X,
bios version 6.00 is latest official bios version...but it takes forever to boot (very slow per boot initialisation)
beta bios 6.11 or 6.12 solves that, but i got no bluetooth from m2 wifi, USB doesnt dectect it, wifi works normal
maybe its tryin to run in gen2 mode? dunno, cant find any USB setting in bios, all are hidden :/

I'm running 5.20 per customer support recommendation on my B450M PRO4 with my Ryzen 5, 5600G. It's running fine as far as I can tell(although I still have a persistant ram slot B2 problem, not related since it was there before.)
