Hi,
I upgraded my Windows 7 to Windows 10 today. I have ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard. I use the ethernet port to connect to the internet but after the upgrade I didn't have the internet connection. I looked at my LAN connection and it said no connection. I ran the Windows troubleshooting program and it said that the driver was bad, but didn't say which driver. Since the Ethernt driver is Broadcom netlink driver I assumed that was it but I can't find the ASRock supported version of that driver for Windows 10. I went on ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 website to see if there's a downlink for the Broadcom driver and there isn't. https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z77%20Extreme4/#Download XFastLAN utility didn't help. Has anyone seen this issue? Thanks. Edited by ASRock_TSD - 26 Dec 2019 at 11:27am |

Your Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard uses the same Broadcom BCM57781 PCIE x1 Gigabit LAN as my Z77 Extreme6.
Windows 10 should have installed the proper driver for it. I've never had to install anything with mine, it just worked. Windows should have installed the Microsoft provided driver version 15.6.1.3 dated 08/18/2015 during the upgrade. Perhaps you could try right clicking on it and uninstalling it from the device manager and rebooting the machine. That may force Windows to reload it and possibly use the correct driver for it this time. peace wanna |

Hi wanna,
The driver is the 8/8/2015 version but no luck. I tried installing the driver from Windows 8 ASRock Z77 page to see if it helps but it didn't. |

Where exactly in Windows 10 is it showing you there is a problem with your connection?
Does the device manager say there is a problem with any of the Network adapters? Are you plugging the network cable straight into a cable modem, or is there a router? Have you double checked your cable connections? Rebooted the modem and or router? The more info you can include about your problem the better. Especially thinigs you have already tried. peace wanna |

In case anyone else sees this issue and thread in the future, delete any VPN or anti-virus software first. I deleted Zone Alarm and internet works! |
