Hello,
I was wondering before I decide to buy, will I have any problems to install 970 EVO NVMe M.2 SSD 500GB on this motherboard. Will it work is the question ? Thanks! |

Yea, I've seen it is possible with the evo 960 just wondering did anything changed recently that would prevent me from having evo 970 in this motherboard?

Thanks, for the suggestion! I didn't realize "plus" version existed, and it seems pretty reasonable price for it too!
Well where I live the Evo 970 500Gb Plus is 125??and normal version is around 110?? I will think about it 25??more is not much to give for that big of a "write" difference. |

from what i see
samsung had to 'up' the performance of the normal evo when WD launched the nvme black edition hence the evo plus its similar to the older 970 pro now with 'i think' much better sustained writes etc one thing to also consider with all nvme drives the QUOTED speeds are usually for the larger drives the smaller drives in range can be far far slower due to less actual chips inside eg 128 gb may have one chip and the 1gb may have 4 chips the reads and writes are faster with more chips obviosly |

Thanks datonyb !
With all the info I got here I am still not sure will my board just accept the 970 evo plus/normal. Hope it does because I will probably go with one of them, might also add that the Bios version is latest possible for my cpu (Summit Ridge) which is P5.50. |
