general but with Threadripper in particular. 

Could the problem be caused by something else? Certainly but this is the first 
troubleshooting step with an HEDT CPU owing to the vast number of pins. 

If the attitude is because you think I am an ASRock employee, I am not and even
then there is no cause for rudeness.

I am sorry, Mr. Board Lord, that my four decades of experience building computers made the initial claim without any supporting documentation or detailed explanation something that comes across as laughable. Details and facts matter. The commenter left out important information. How is that MY fault, since you blame ME for everything? 

I can add that CPU-Z sees the RAM. All eight of them.

I should point out that your basis is that the X399 Taichi is an inherently defective design because of the fact that the builder cannot seat the CPU manually, unless there is an undeclared method that goes outside what the manuals all say to do. I followed the manual completely. If ASRock left out something, then whose fault would that be? I may be Autistic, but I am far from retarded. 

BTW: with a liquid cooler and fully-assembled PC, how long would it take to remove the CPU without effectively fully dismantling the PC?
