I noticed that. Hang in there, one should be coming up available very soon. ASRock has been working hard at getting these out to us Users.

Z170 Extreme4 Version 2.90 is still corrupted. I reverted back to 2.40 and everything is fine again.

According to some sources on the web, it seems like Intel wants to ban non-k oc. Try Googling for more info.

exactly. But my case looks ver lonely here Cry

This is how it behaves: I enter UEFI, Update with Instant Flash. PC reboots -> black screen
turn PC off, clear CMOS, reboot PC, at screen for F1 for continue, F2 for UEFI, I enter UEFI, make my settings, save changes and boot -> works
turning PC off and on -> works
BUT, if I only need to reboot my PC (e.g. updates) -> black screen.
Or if I want to enter UEFI AGAIN -> black screen.
Than I always need to clear CMOS to get it back work.

I also had trouble to downgrade. When I entered UEFI and started Instant Flash, UEFI got frozen. Always!
The only way I found was, clearing CMOS again, boot PC, pressing like an idiot F6 for Instant Flash, than question about F1 and F2 was shown, pressed F2 but still pressed F6 like an idiot.
Finally the downgrade started. After being on 2.40 everything works normal and fast. I can restart PC, I can enter UEFI whenever I want. No problems.

I already resported ASRock Tech support, but the UEFI team is celebrating chinese new year now.

This ^^ exact same thing has happened to me here on a Gigabyte board. Their Techs, after 30mins on the phone, declared it is defective.

Morku, return it to the Seller or RMA back to ASRock. Whichever is more convenient.

Are you sure? The whole mainboard!? But why are lower UEFI version working fine?
And how I work on PC without replacement or I will get simultaneously replacement? And will I get a new "Hardware ID" with a new mainboard and need to reinstall windows? I will go crazy T_T

I will wait for an e-mail from ASRock or stay on 2.40 forever. I got really tired about computer technics from china. It's always somehow broken...

this happened to me too when I enabled the XMP profile on my Ram.

Do you have this behaviour also with everything @ default?

I solved it raising the VCCIO and the VCCSA by 0.05V. Now it's ok even if I reboot. ;)

(but consider that I'm not using the last bios)
