Asrock have a new Bios for th Asrock B450m pro4 Bios version 5.10 which updates AGESA to AMD AGESA ComboAM4v2 1.2.0.2 which is supposed to fix USB issues.

*Caution!!! Please do NOT update this BIOS if 3300X CPU is being used on your system.
*ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if you are going to use Pinnacle, Raven or Summit Ridge CPU on your system.
*Before updating this BIOS, please also read the description in previous BIOS version.

Has anyone tried this Bios version as it still gives the warning below and as I am using a Raven ridge cpu I am not sure if to try it but I am desperate to get rid of the USB issues when using front panel USB 3.0

my wife's pc is using this very motherboard
shes on bios version 3.9 and everything works perfectly
her cpu is the r5 1600 BUT IS THE LATER 'AF' (eg a 2600 with detuned boost)
my friends system is also on 3.9 using a 2600x also no usb issues

are you certain its bios related ?
e.g. have you downloaded and installed the latest chipset driver directly from AMD ,this little bugger has quite a vast effect on the usb/bt/wifi and in fact any of the pci connected devices, and usually cures most bugs/problems
the asrock drivers are very old and dont get updated like the chipset driver from amd direct

No I am not certain but I went ahead and updated to Bios all the way to 5.10 the latest Bios that is suppose to fix USB issues. But when I plug in a portable Hard Drive still it connect and disconnects continuously.

What model portable Drive do you use if any ?

I am using the Drivers from Asrock motherboard page but have tried many others.

You need the latest drivers from AMD, the ones on your product page are seldom
updated. As far as I know, most manufacturers don't update these unless they have
a proprietary element to them.

Google AMD chipset driver and download from AMD's website.

This seems the latest Adrenalin 21.5.2 Optional but i am sure i tried this already.

adrenalin is a graphics driver
you need to go to amd support
click 'chipset' select your boards chipset and download that driver
21.5.2 is a driver for amd graphics cards this really wont help with usb issues

I have already installed amd_chipset_software_2.13.27.501 But still the same issues. Asrock tech have decided to stop helping also they answered one message and never answered my reply.

Other people who have same issues of Drives connecting and disconnecting have also been ignored when contacting Asrock.
