I have a B450M Pro4 motherboard. I currently have a Ryzen 7 1700 CPU. Today I received my Ryzen 7 5700 G. I updated my BIOS to 5.3 (latest BIOS), then put the Ryzen 7 5700G in. It wouldn't do anything but show a black screen and just kept restarting every 20 seconds. I put my Ryzen 7 1700 back in, and it works fine.

I called ASRock customer support, and they said I did everything right, and that the APU must of been bricked. Does anyone else have any other opinion as to what I may of missed or did wrong?

1. Yes, it said the BIOS update was successful.
2. Yes, I put the HDMI in both the GPU, as well as the motherboard to see if either one showed graphics.

Another symptom just popped up. It happened yesterday too, but I didn't pay much attention to it. when I turn the computer off, the clock/time "stops" running. I had it off for 2 hours earlier when working on it, when I turned it back on, it was 2 hours behind. I just turned it off for 12 minutes, and when I turned it back on, the clock was 12 minutes behind. Would this have anything to do with all of this?

But, upon checking my bios version, it is still updated at 5.3.   So I guess BIOS wasnt reset.

Any suggestions?
