Hello,

I'm hoping someone will be able to assist me. I am having an issue getting my new build to boot with dual channel memory. The memory I bought are "G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600)" which doesn't say it's supported on the list, but are close enough that I didn't think I would have a problem. The motherboard came on bios v1.00 - I have since updated it to v2.90 with no luck.

I've tried: (these were tried on bios v1.00 and v2.90)
- Placing them in slots A1+B1, didn't post (tried clearing CMOS using the button on the back of the mb)
- Placing them in slots A2+B2, didn't post (tried clearing CMOS using the button on the back of the mb)
- A1 single channel booted fine
- B1 single channel booted fine

Now I'm not sure if I should send these back and get the "G.Skill Trident Z 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 3200 F4-3200C16D-16GTZ" that are on the supported memory list for dual channel, or if I can get this pair to work. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Specs:
ASRock Z170 Extreme4
Intel i7-6700k
G.Skill DDR4 3200 (2x8gb)
Samsung EVO 850
Cooler Master 500watt PSU

Hey,

Yeah I know my post is late almost half a year, but I still have the same issue. I tested a few memory stick and all brought the same result: FAIL.

1. Corsair Vengeance 3200
2. Corsair Vengeance 3000
3. G.Skill Ripjaws V 3200

I'm on BIOS v3.4. I can overclock my i5-6600K with no issues. But OC memory hangs the system and I have to clear CMOS.

Let's see what we can do .......

First, Part Numbers for the three kits you have there please.

Second are you BB90 as the OP of this Thread? I just want your system specs.
