Just bought my 1st ASRock board,Z170 Gaming K6,and I (the m/c) have hit a hiccup.
In the boot area my wireless mouse works as normal but once I exit to try and install a system-no mouse! I have put the mouse dongle in various USB slots, front & back,no luck.Via the Boot option I d/loaded the driver files to a USB flash drive just to see if the USB port worked, and it did. After building my own PC's for 20yrs I have never encountered anything as strange and could really do with a genius to help. Hopefully, over to you people. Are you trying to install Windows 7 by any chance?
If so Windows 7 does not have native USB 3.0 drivers so you will need to follow the instructions here for the 100 series chipset.

You,Sir,are a genius.
I would NEVER have thought of that especially as I have just built a new system, with an MSI mobo, and tried to install Win 7 with no problems. Thank you,and ASRock should thank you,as I was going to return this mobo and get another MSI. Off and running - Geronimo!!!! |
