Hello there,

as stated:
"Hyper M.2 is only supported with 11th Gen Intel® Core??Processors"

"1 x Hyper M.2 Socket (M2_2), supports type 2280 M.2 PCI Express module up to Gen4 x4 (64 Gb/s) (Only supported with 11th Gen Intel® CoreTM Processors)"

This means second M.2 (M2_2) slot is working in "up to PCIe gen. 4 mode" only with 11.gen Intel CPU and with 10. gen Intel CPU only as PCIe gen.3 mode

or

it will not work at all with 10.gen INTEL CPU?

The difference between 10th and 11th Gen CPU's is 4 PCIE lanes, and a faster memoryu controller, 2666MHz vs 3200MHz, and 16 against 20 PCIE lanes
https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/compare.html?productIds=199271,212270
Since the first M.2 slot is connected to the CPU PCIE lanes, the 10th Gen simply doesn't have enough PCIE lanes
Kind Regards

the difference relating to the OP question that matters is intel gen 11 supports pcie 4.0 and 10th gen does not-thre is no pcie slot and each m.2 slot requires x4 lanes so Im not sure why threadripper1957 supplied his confusing and irrelevent answer so to simplify using a 11th gen cpu gets you pcie 4.0 on 1 m.2 slot and pcie 3.0 on the other and a 10th gen will work but only at pcie 3.0 on both m.2 slots-I would get 11th gen cpu and a pcie 4 ssd and enjoy twice as fast speeds in the main m.2 slot and throw in a cheap pcie 3.0 ssd for backup

Euhm did you just made that up or
Mister threadripper is not talking about pci-e 4 slot he is telling why with the 10th series the second slot is not working as the 10cth series cpu lacks more pci lanes
When using the 11th gen cpu you suddenly have 4 lanes extra hence another working m2 slot....

So how hard is that to understand, he gave the perfectly correct answer.
The board is handy enough capable of running both with that limitation
