Is there a way to get the equalizer back in the Realtek Audio Console?
I don't want to use the Nahimic, I really only need the "Realtek Equalizer". thx |

No there is no way to get the old Realtek Mixer/Equalizer back.
For the newer Audio chips, Realtek has decided, no longer to provide drivers via their website, but only a basic driver is provided, the rest is dome via the Windows store. Sometimes the old (win7) mixers can still work, but, create a restore point, before You install them, and when it doesn't work, uninstall the driver, restart the system, and THEN use the restore point. |

Kind Regards

I refuse to have any nahimic/creative 3rd party, buggy bloatware on my PC. So far on both my B450 boards I have been able to stick the good old full featured generic HDA versions of the drivers and have all the Effects and features that these 3rd party crapwares hijack. All that nonsense is is reskins of the built in Realtek Effects so the motherboard manufacturers can pretend to have some high end "gamery" sound system when all it is is a basic, but perfectly good Realtek chip (ALC887, ALC892, ALC1200, etc.). 100% marketing nonsense!
Latest (probably last ever) full version: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=6.0.9273.1 The trick is to disconnect from the internet to avoid Windows Updates/Store ramming in the crapware before you can get what you want installed. COMPLETELY remove the UAD (small 20-50 MB driver) version and all the bloatware that came with it (Nahimic, "software components", etc.) then install the HDA driver (120-150 MB) that comes with it's own proper Realtek Control and Effects tabs. |

HDMI audio output is probably superior to any analog outputs/codecs.
Give HDMI audio output a try ! ;) Look into it how to do it... |

but using HDMI audio output requires a separate audio driver designed specifically for HDMI output (usually bundled with the graphics drivers from nVidia, AMD or Intel) and changing the default audio playback device from the Windows sound settings box. onboard Realtek HD audio devices using Realtek audio drivers usually do not have nor support HDMI output, so HDMI will be using a different driver other than Realtek. |
