Hello,
Can I fit a X99E-ITX/ac with the latest Xeon E5-2699 v4? FCLGA2011 vs LGA2011-3 is unclear to me. |

It isn't on the supported CPU list yet but I am almost sure it is supported with the latest BIOS update that adds Broadwell EP support.
FCLGA = Flip Chip Land Grid Array and is simply the full acronym for LGA so LGA2011 and FCLGA2011 are the same thing.

The Broadwell-E and Xeon equivalent processors have not been added to the X99 CPU Support lists as of this date, May 2, 2016. The E5-2699 v4 is the top of the line Broadwell-E generation Xeon, with 22 cores and 44 threads. All that for only $4,115. http://ark.intel.com/products/91317/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2699-v4-55M-Cache-2_20-GHz I can buy an X99E-ITX/ac for $250 in the USA. This CPU is ~16.5 times the price of that board. Must be asking for bragging rights. |
