I am afraid not. Your options are:

1. Borrow a CPU that is compatible and perform the update
2. Take the board to a tech who has a CPU and get them to perform the update
3. Order a new BIOS chip preflashed with the latest version for your board from ASRock directly for $15.00

I hope this helps.

Do you have the latest BIOS version for your board? Only the latest version supports Broadwell (v4).

Hi there,

i received the AsRock Fatal1ty X99X Killer today but it doesnt seem to work. I always get the Error 19. It says: "Pre-Memory Southbridge initialization started".
I have no idea what to do to be honest, i tried using different memory configurations and i also used a single Dimm but it didnt work aswell.
The Chip and Memory work in different systems.

The used hardware:
Intel Xeon E5 2680v4,
AsRock X99X Killer,
32GB (4x8) GB HyperX Fury DDR4-2400,
be quiet! Dark Power Pro11 850W,
Nvidia Geforce GTX 760.

What does this Error mean? Can i do anything about that or does it mean my Motherboard is bricked?
Thank you,

~Wolfdale
