Hi guys, does anyone know is I can safely flash a M3A770DE3L with the 1.70 BIOS for 970DE3/U3S3? They are both built with the same NB and SB chipsets, so... I'm trying to use an Athlon II x2 280 CPU on a 770DE3L, which originally isn't supported on that MB but works on a 970. Ani input will be highly appreciated. Rgds.

In a word, no. Identical chipsets does not mean the BIOS is compatible. There are numerous other components involved as well as chipset revisions etc.

Happy to help. Sorry, had to be very clear on this one, if you tried it your BIOS would be bricked
