They obviously need to perform some database maintenance. If I were to hazard a guess, the Ryzen product launch has driven more traffic to the forums than they had scheduled for, so their timetable on when to perform maintenance is off. They probably only routinely maintain the forums every 3-6 months.

Or who knows, could be something else. Whatever the case may be, singling out Ryzen or ASRock is pretty poor form on your part. They know how it looks, and I'm sure they're working on rectifying it.

Forum works fine for me. Now EVGA's forum on the otherhand requires me to to use incognito mode or install another browser than Chrome. Chrome! Seriously? It's probably one of the most used browsers on the planet.

The forum server's RAID array had a bad a drive which was causing intermittent connections when the faulty drive was accessed. All should be well now. Even manufacturers internal servers can have drive failures Wink

I have not noticed any other issues since Cool

singling out ????????

excuse me did you miss the part where i said

JOKING ASIDE
this may imply to anyone that actually 'read it '
that i dont presume asrock to be using ryzen for its server IT WAS A JOKE
FORGIVE THE LACK OF SIMPLE SMILEY FACES TO INDICATE TO ANYONE NOT READING IT IN CONTEXT
but the broken forum broke the smiles i had entered hence the word 'tounge' etc in the text

now back to the point i wasnt joking about
and that was and still is
if the support forum is broken when a new asrock buyer logs on for support then that would be a very bad signal to send buyers
fortunately xalter one of the mods has indeed explained the issue and it would seem without the need to issue a telling off to myself because he seems to understand humour
thank you for reading this i hope fully......................

It's all good, misunderstandings happen. Nothing wrong with someone standing up for ASRock Wink

The forums here are home to people from all over the world. Different places have different lingual habits, languages and cultures so these things happen. At the end of the day, you both helped out here so thanks Thumbs Up

IF you follow a "joke" with more complaints or other disparaging comments, then the lightheartedness you were attempting to achieve with your "joke" is almost completely wiped out. Basically you're showing your hand; that you're just here to complain. It's kind of the very last thing someone needs if they're in the heat of the moment trying to fix a problem.

I build and maintain websites, and I don't appreciate it when I'm only try to help people (i.e. the purpose of this forum) and then they go and piss in my face for it. I doubt ASRock appreciates it either. They don't need a lesson on what the optics are in any given situation.

That said, I probably shouldn't have jumped on you, but there has been such a steady stream of negative comments on these boards regarding both Ryzen and ASRock. Guess I'm just fed up with it. I apologize for venting that at you.

I was not bothered by your first post, since as you said above, I actually read it completely.

I was bothered by the recent forum problems too. Nothing better than it failing on me after writing a long response to someone, submitting it, and getting the white screen, post gone forever. Sure I use Preview as a safety net, and even save what I write sometimes to a file. But if I'm not paying attention to those things, its gone.

The second part of what you wrote was IMO, a simple reality check, tough love as it is called. Valid points and NOT just a stream of cursing and hate, as I see from a very few people occasionally. Nothing to worry about IMO.

Forums are all different, some more frustrating than others. Intel's forum update, whenever it was, was not an improvement IMO. While it has a decent automatic restore feature, it takes the hand holding too far and becomes annoying.

@twf85
to be honest im still not following your reasoning
as an example the quote you made from myself in most peoples eyes just DOSNT in any way appear
to pi55 in someones face
as stated above by another moderator it was a valid point
as far as you implication i just log on here to moan/complain i DO TAKE OFFENCE AT
i suggest you try a quick search at my 300 posts
and if you can come back with 1% of them being a complaint to asrock then id be very surprised
in fact id feel quite certain 80% of my posts are taking MY TIME unpaid to share any info and assistance i have learnt with this community and/or trying to resolve users issues

a fair few of them may have to be read in context for i am typically a cheeky british guy and my days are spent laughing joking and interacting with people face to face
over here we call it harmless banter
and  for that i will never apoligise
chin up old boy keep smiling Tongue

p.s. by the way this forum is running quite slow right at this present time
shall i moan ? LOL
