Hi
I've bought x99 extreme 4 and after the installation of psu & ram & cpu & gpu on the motherboard.
and when I turn the PC on there is no display on monitor.
My CPU is Intel Xeon 2620 v4.
Does Motherboard need bios update for support this cpu?! or what should I do?
Thanks

Your board needs at least UEFI/BIOS version 3.30 to support a Broadwell Xeon processor. Broadwell processors need a CPU microcode update to work with X99 boards. That is a limitation from Intel, it applies to X99 boards made by any manufacture. We see this issue all the time.

Your options are, somehow get a Haswell generation HEDT processor to use in the board to do the UEFI/BIOS update, or replace the UEFI/BIOS chip with one that has at least the 3.30 UEFI on it. The chip can be replaced by the user (carefully!) it is in a socket.

You can get the chip from ASRock, or from places like eBay. You can contact ASRock about this using the Repair/RMA page, from the Support link at the top of the ASRock mother board page in your area of the world.
