Hi,
I had bad issues with the latest BIOS update 2.60. It was freezing the OS many times a day, so I had to downgrade to previous 2.50, which works very well. I'm just informing about this for other users...

Have you installed the Windows 10 drivers from your board's download page, before using the version 2.60 UEFI update?

Do you use all default values in the UEFI? Any OC of your processor? What CPU are you using?

Do the freezes you get seem to be random, of when doing something specific?

I'm not saying the 2.60 update is fine, just trying to track down any other potential causes for the problems you had when you use it.

1) I'm letting all drivers updates on Microsoft Windows updates
2) yes, almost everything settings are default, without overclocking cpu, memory, or gpu.
My PC is in my signature... so CPU is AMD A8-7600
3) yes, it seems it was all random, sometimes like CPU was doing "nothing", sometimes I was browsing in firefox, chrome, MS Edge, watching videos... yes, I think it was more random.

Now I'm back to BIOS 2.50 for about 2 days, and all is working perfectly, like before...

You don't have the same MBO,
You have the FM2A88X+ Killer.

It's easy to navigate on ASRock homepage, just take
some time to explore, don't rush.

For Your CPU, the P2.30 is the one to go with. Don't go under that version,
because Your system may not POST.

Thank you for the reply and link.
I downloaded 2.30 version and loaded to a usb Flash Drive
and installed it via the Bios option.

It installed successfully, and when it attempted to restart my computer .. that failed because the boot sector was now damaged.

I attempted to Repair my win 10  install with the original win 10 install disk ... and then a win 10 Repair disk (that I had previously created).  Neither Repair could fix the damage.

I have had to completely reinstall Win10.

I will post again if I don't get any more 'freezes' after a couple of days.

Thanks again ....  but the damage to the boot sector was annoying.

The boot sector was not damaged - You should always
install Windows with AHCI settings.

If the settings are different - Your OS will not work.
