Hello.
I have a problem with my computer, which will randomly not detect one of my disks (SSD + HDD) after powering on my newly built PC. When that happens, they don't show up in BIOS, and they do not appear in Windows either. If SSD fails to get detected, I'm getting various errors on boot (eg. 0xc0000185). I have tried making sure all SATA cables are sitting firm in their places, and I have also updated the BIOS to the latest version. It didn't help.
My motherboard is ASRock AB350M Pro4, and the disks are GoodRAM Iridium Pro (SSD) and Toshiba P300 1TB (HDD). Any ideas what's wrong?

Well, cedemi, how did you solve the problem? I ask cause I have experience the same problem with Windows 10 x64 ver. 10.0.17134.228, "Kingston SSD KC1000 NVMe PCIe 240GB"(SSD) and "Toshiba P300 2TB 64MB 7200rpm SATA 3"(HDD), motherboard is "Fatal1ty Z370 Gaming K6", bios version is 3.10. The SSD Firmware is Rev. E7FT04.9. The problem is occurred during playing "World of Warcraft" which is installed in third HDD 1TB.
All drivers from motherboard support page is installed, what is wrong with my new PC?! In the "Event viewer", there is these errors: "Disk 2 has been surprise removed" "The device, \Device\Harddisk2\DR3, is not ready for access yet." "The IO operation at logical block address 0x8000 for Disk 2 (PDO name: \Device00000058) was retired." p.s. all problem is gone when see the motherboard manual and change the disks to another SATA ports. M.2 slots and SATA slots share lanes. Edited by asrock_tester - 07 Sep 2018 at 6:43am |
