Dear Korndog,
Thank you for choosing ASRock.
Regarding your case, we provide some suggestions to try: 1. Please download the BIOS ROM file from ASRock website, unzip it and copy it to a USB flash drive, insert it into a USB 2.0 port on rear USB port. Restart the system, the crashless BIOS feature should recover the BIOS update. http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B85%20Anniversary/#BIOS 2. Clear CMOS to load BIOS default. Please unplug the power cord and remove the power cable from motherboard. Move the clear CMOS jumper to 2-3 for 5 minutes. Please check user manual p18 to find the clear CMOS jumper. http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Manual/B85%20Anniversary.pdf 3. Only install CPU and one stick memory to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly. 4. Please try to install one stick memory at A1, B1, A2 and B2 slot to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly. 5. Reinstall CPU and check if CPU socket pin is fine. 6. If it is possible, please change another CPU or DRAM to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly.
Thank you! Yours truly, ASRock TSD Edited by ASRock_TSD - 13 Oct 2017 at 10:18am |

I updated the BIOS on my B85 Anniversary system to Version 1.60 using the Internet Flash method. However, after rebooting all I get is a black screen. I tried power cycling several time to no avail. Please help.
Cheers! -Vince
