One is definitely Hynix (the 2933 CL16 model) and the other one is probably Samsung B-Die.
No problem to get those working with the timings they were meant for.
Both of them.

Like I've said (and datonyb too) - a lot has changed since the introduction of AGESA 1.0.0.6.
Just be sure to update to the latest UEFI (do NOT flash under Windows -- copy on the USB drive, go into UEFI, reset to default values, reboot into UEFI, flash within UEFI).

I would propose to just load the XMP profile and see if the system boots and is stable with the XMP profile in RAM. If you are lucky (90% chance you are I would say) then it should work "just like that".
Of course they is a lot of playroom to tweak it, but first step would be to get it rock-stable, and move further onwards :-)

One other note, before I purchased my g.skill chips I consulted the memory compatibility page on ASROCK. I found these chips had been verified to work with the motherboard that I purchased.

DDR4, 2933, 8GB, GSkill, F4-3200C16D-16GTZB, SS, 2PCS, V

I recognize that there is no guarantee that I will be able to overclock these memory chips, but I wanted to make sure that I was using verified chips to start with.

In my effort to save a few coins I purchased these timings, so I may be SOL with respect to overclocking:

  • DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600)
  • Timing 16-18-18-38
  • CAS Latency 16
  • Voltage 1.35V

Yes, I did order a 2TB sata drive with this install. I also ordered a 256gb SSD for my boot drive. Thanks for the heads up on loading the other drivers. This should be a very interesting build.

+1 Hynix = bad for TR.
It's ok-ish for RyZEN after AGESA 1.0.0.6, should be no problem to reach 3200 stable on two modules, even on 4 modules with some tweaking.

if you are using a sata hard drive please note the amd driver DOES NOT automatically install

after running the amd install program manually go into the device manager
and attempt to manually point driver update for the ide.atapi controllers one by one (you might have 2-3) to the amd folder, one of these will then load the amd driver and relabel itself an AMD device

Thanks for the information on the drivers. I will update my profile after I configure my components. They are on the way from Newegg.
