Fatal1ty usb port question

   Maybe a noob question but i'm looking at a new build (hence why i'm posting here, move if there is a better forum). If I use a usb splitter or usb to ps/2 cord on the Fatal1ty usb port can I get the choosen polling speed on my keyboard and mouse or will it self disable?

	I'm unsure about usb splitters but USB to PS/2 would be a bad idea.
