    Posted: 21 Dec 2017 at 10:44pm

I have Asrock H110 pro BTC rig with 13x XFX rx580/8GB cards. Rig is working and mining fine, there are few pictures of rig... https://photos.app.goo.gl/2M515OB8hErDmBlF2

It is not my 1st rig, i build them alot and i build them alone by own design... this specific one dual mines Ether/Lbry 392/990+ MHashes/s and it is very stable and under 67c ... it usually works for days  before need to reset.

MY PROBLEM IS: Sometimes when i reset the board (either trough software or by RST button) board randomly fails to "spin" one or more (usualy 1 or 1-3) graphics cards and after OS boots up (win or linux - no matter) this card(s) that "failed to start" are simply missing... as they are not connected to MBO. Cards that fail are random... it can be card 5, 6, or 9 or 1, it happens randomly.

So before booting OS i have to check if all cards are spinning the fans. If fans on some cards fail to spin at system reset i have to quickly enter boot menu (F11) and then reset the MBO if i see "dead" card. If not i simply choose to continue boot.

Now this happens only when i use XFX ... i also have one 13rig machine with sapphire NITRO rx580/8GB and have no trouble there. I even have one 13 rig (same board) with mixed rx480/nvidia1070/rx580 and no problems there, only with XFX.

Since this rig is dual mining excelently i dont have reason to doubt risers or power or whatever... there is obviously some disagreement between MBO and GPUs at reset time and i discovered no BIOS setting to solve it. If anyone have information how to solve this i would appreciate it.

WHAT I TRIED AND FAILED:  Gen1/2 setting, downclocking ram/cpu, vt-d on/off, virtualization on/off, audio/onboard VGA/multimonitor/serial/paralel off/on, clearing CMOS/loading defaults, flashing to 1.11 BIOS etc. nothing worked, problem remains ><

Detailed rig spec:

Asrock H110 PRO BTC+
Intel Celeron G3930
DDR4 Crucial 8GB
2x LC1200W platinum v2.4 PSU
M2 SSD WD Green 120GB
13x XFX RX580/8GB BLACK edition GPU

I will be returning these motherboards.

seems I'm not the only one having this issue.
Got 13 rx560 4gb ram (mixed vendors).
When I press the power, some random cards are not starting (vents do not start). I have to press the reset button multiple times, till I got all vents spinning. In general, I got 1 to 5 random cards which are not starting. I got 2 different risers models, 006c and 008s. happening to both.
Even for 6 cards connected, I got this issue.
Bios was updated to latest version.

Has anyone found a solution?

Thanks.

I have same issue, what should I do to fix it?

On MB connected 24pin + 8pin + 2x4pin (MOLEX) + SATA
It start randomly GPU cards. Different GPU start when I click reset. Finally with 1/10 chanse all GPU starts. After GPU started all works as expected.

GPU not started in this case means it does not even spinning fans during POST
This happened with all my Gigabyte RX 560 OC 4G (rev. 2.0) (GV-RX560OC-4G) and repeated on GPUs with different memory vendor and without changes in BIOS of GPU.

Note: at the same time PowerColor RX560 cards starts always on the same MB

Same behaviour on 4 my MBs (from different parties). Can it be fixed or I should return MBs?

Hi, same problem here. Has anyone found a solution? Can someone share their experience?

A random gpu fails to initialize on reboot. It doesn't post. On a subsequent reset, without touching anything else, the card may boot, but another random card may fail to initialize in its place.

I have the exact same problem. Even with just 4 GPUs one GPU will randomly not spin up. Resetting the mobo until all gpus are detected works. Not a good solution. Will replace with some other mobo.

I have the same problem here. I have 3 rigs with this MB, 2 of them are using Server PSUs for GPUs and for the other I'm using two desktop PSUs.

After months of struggling with this issue, I finally noticed that if GPUs power up only slightly before turning on the MB, this won't happen and all of the GPUs will happily init and work.

So I turn on my Server PSUs first, then the Motherboard PSU and then turn on the MB.

Unfortunately on my other rig that is using two desktop PSUs I can not do this sequential power-up and I still face this annoying issue.

I really wish Asrock team could fix this problem.

I have the exact same problem on Asrock h110 pro btc+ mobo with 12 XFX rx580 GPUs.

Works fine on Asus B250 mining expert and Biostar B250 btc pro mobos.

I also tried many things , relevant and irrelevant, tried to turn on the GPUs before and at the same time with the mobo, tried different BIOS firmwares, disable and enable every single option on mobo.

And don't even think about getting an answer from Asrock.

Anyone got any pointers to fix this somehow£
