Asrock really do it properly!

I had z97 msi board which malfunctioned and then I switched to Asrock. I see no bios for my former msi board - which was top of their line up.
Asus even said on their forum that they will not update 9 series - and some of their boards have 5 year warranty.

Asrock updated both of my 9 series boards, Z97 pro 4 and h97 fatality killer.

Thanks!! I will buy Asrock again!

The Z77 Pro3 2.20beta firmware installed successfully and is good so far. I will update if any issue comes up. Thank you for your service, ASRock!

good afternoon
after updating from BIOS 7.20 to 7.30
at any up bclk skylake i5-6400
the system refuses to start
SkyOK also does not work.
Any change in the bus frequency above 100 does not allow the system to load
I had to return to 7.20

on version 7.20 stable operation on the bclk 163Mhz = 4400Mhz
on version 7.30 does not start with a bclk higher than 103 Mhz

why are you ignoring my topic for a week? Your direct competitors are much more responsive to the questions in consequence of which it is more convenient to work with support them.

This is a community forum AresMax, ASRock_TSD does occasionally post here but this is not Tech Support. Here, users help each other to figure things out. We moderators have contacts in tech support and sometimes use them to help figure things out but we are not ASRock staff.

As for your issue, I am pretty sure you will find it is common to all boards that received the "fix" from intel. Intel killed BCLK overclocking on the 8 and 9 series boards (H81, B85, H87/h97) and even went so far as to get Microsoft to help them do it through the OS too, just to stump people who didn't update their BIOS in order to retain "Sky OC" (BCLK overclocking). Intel does not like people getting around the restrictions of their chipsets. If a chipset does not officially support overclocking intel will do everything they can to enforce it.

ASRock has fought hard against that kind of restriction but in the end, intel always gets it's way. Your best bet is to stick with the BIOS version that gave you the results you want. If you have overly sensitive data and feel you absolutely need the fix then you will be stuck with stock or close to settings. This is beyond manufacturer control, these restrictions are put in place by intel.
