Everything under the Software tab matches mine exactly. We just differ on the Radeon software version on the Overview tab. I'm seeing 17.7 while you report 7.7 - so is that a discrepancy, a typo or do you need to visit Specsavers Wink ?

It obviously got confused. So a full uninstall, reboot, reinstall is what it took to fix it?

Can you confirm the version, please? I'm seeing 17.7 and suspect that's what you meant. The other version is perhaps for some other AMD GPU - maybe as a result of misidentification.

Anyway, glad it's all good now.

SOLVED

Reinstalled Radeon drivers, this time it is version 7.7 and not 7.11 as before.. detected hardware and installed , did a restart.
Checked start button options and "sleep" is now appearing...........Checked devs manager and disply driver is now AMD.........
So not quite sure what the issue was, but eventually resolved....

Have uninstalled from hidden devs display...

Next: AMD site  and downloaded adrenaline auto detect drivers needed.........
This shows that no drivers are required because radeon 17.11 is already installed. so use express uninstall  on that page , then auto detect drivers function again.
This time says  no hardware found to provide drivers for"
Busy building my other MB to put Ryzen 1200 on for a bit of sanity...........

System Tray - maybe they don't call it that any more or I've got my terminology mixed up as I switch frequently between Windows, Linux and macOS! Bottom right, on the task bar, with the time and date in it. Any overspill icons end up hidden behind an icon that looks like an upside down letter 'V'.

Thanks  for info and suggestions.
Windows updates check as all up to date up to today.
System tray? Where do I find that?
Thinking of uninstalling AMD driver from hidden devices, rebooting and reinstalling.
