I have been out of the custom PC game since around 2012, So I am not familiar with XMP.

Is there a way to even get 3200 without XMP? I will check my bios rn

I ask myself the same !  it is tough.............OK if you have the resources for the top end stuff but still not guaranteed problem free...........Others may help you decide better than I can...I am still debating it myself

my ram is exactly the "CMK16GX4M2B3200C16" on ASRock it says that is Samsung Bm thats the only reason I put It there. My timings on the bios XMP show 16-18-18-36

@CoreySmith1200 What exactly are you trying to achieve? What would make you happy?

Let me tell you a little about my situation. I'm not interested in overclocking my 2400G. I'm happy with the CPU and GPU at stock. The only thing I have done is slightly overclock my Corsair Vengeance RAM from its rated 2666 MHz to 2933 MHz. That enables the rest of the processor (the "uncore") to run at its optimum speed - anything more would be an overclock of the processor.  Note that the APUs have a higher optimum uncore speed than 1000-series Ryzens (2666 MHz). I ought to have bought faster RAM but I originally planned to get an R5 1500X and changed my mind and got the 2400G instead. But I was lucky and was able to run my RAM at the slightly higher speed simply by selecting XMP and then 2933 from the drop down menu. I didn't have to change anything else to achieve this.

Right now it's very stable, otherwise I would have reverted to 2666. The only BSODs I've had in the last few days were due to a bug in GPU-Z (fixed in the latest version) and from testing the WiFi card - I don't normally use this because cabled Ethernet is better in every respect but I tried it in order to help someone else.

i also have corsair ram .. since the APU draws from the ram , could it be the cause of my video errors .... anyone with non-corsair ram getting that video driver BSOD. thanks

I have noticed nothing bad about the G Skill Flare made for AMD Ryzen, AMD even sends that ram with all their ryzen review units. I bought a pair of 3200MHz 2x8gb (14-14-14-34) off Newegg as there is a $30 sale right now, still expensive at $220 ($15 more than my corsair but better timings so its ok). I am returning the corsair as the pc just doesn't like it at all. I will get the G.Skill Flare Monday and post my results before I reinstall anything so that I am able to compare to the corsair ram.

Apologies if this has already been answered! I've looked high and low and haven't been able to find it.

I have a 2400G and AB350M Pro 4 - I can't for the life of me figure out how to set the APU GFX speed in the BIOS.  I'm able to set it in Ryzen Master - but then every time I reboot it defaults back to 200Mhz until I go back into Ryzen Master and set it again.

Is this able to be set in the BIOS? Where is that setting?

Here's some ideas for those having 2400G/2200G problems.

A few things for the people having what they believe to be DRAM problems.  First of all, XMP does exactly the same thing as setting the memory values manually, it just reads the data from the SPD, which is a database of sorts for memory settings.  XMP is nothing magical, and in theory, its what the DRAM chips soldered to the the little PCBs should be capable of doing reliably.

Next, the Ryzen 2200G/2400G is only specced to DDR4 2933, not 3200.  Many of the people saying they're getting BSOD at those higher memory rates might be operating out of the band of where the DRAM controller in the Ryzen is capable of with their particular configuration.  I'm running perfectly fine at an XMP of 2933 with  both GSKILL Aegis and Crucial.  

Next, for those getting a BSOD with things like CPUZ, Cleanmypc, or other utilities, these things generally load a low level filter driver at windows runtime (startup).  AIDA has already had a couple of small updates that stabilized theirs.  Not sure about how fast all the freeware software people can update.   If you get a BSOD with Cleanmypc, then simply don't use it.  Those things are mostly useless (they may make you feel good, but they don't do much that is really useful)

Next, the video problems that seem driver software related and are causing crashes appear to be related to power management.  There is something definitely borked with the current Ryzen power plans, as well as the way the 2400G/2200G are handling low power states, sleep, and screen sleep.  The windows power plans are not working correctly with these CPUs.  They are doing something, but even with Cool and Quiet off (this is mostly unnecessary at this point anyway), and the CPU set to 100% in the power plan, the cores continue to throttle all over the place.

If you overclock, or hard set the CPU multi from the BIOS, and Cool and Quiet are on, then you will get mountains of firmware errors in the event log, because Windows tries to throttle the CPU, but the BIOS fights it and overrides the throttling.

For me it was without a doubt the wifi driver crashing my system, once I go wired it's perfect. No surprise intel crashing AMD
