    Posted: 24 Feb 2018 at 3:39pm
Picked up an AB350 Gaming mITX/AC and an Ryzen 3 2200G.  Flashed BIOS to 4.40.  System works great.  Until you use the WiFi for more than 10 minutes.  BSOD for DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION.  Event log has a mountain of errors for the WiFi adapter sending an unexpected response.  This occurs with whatever driver Windows 10 used by default, the driver from Asrock's site, and the driver from Intel.  Disable the WiFi adapter and system runs fine.  Clean Win10 install via a fresh media disk from the media creation tool.

Any suggestions?  Any chance of the 4.43 Beta BIOS fixing this?

It's probably worth mentioning I've seen other reports of the exact same error in the exact same situation.

I use cabled Ethernet in preference to WiFi so I can't help with your specific problem but I do recommend switching to the beta 4.43 BIOS. It might or might not fix your WiFi problem but it does fix a number of others. Maybe look for a newer driver from Intel?

Already tried the latest Intel driver, no change.  Unfortunately in it's current location, wired isn't an option at this time.

That still leaves you the beta BIOS to try and, a long shot but worth trying, re-seat the WiFi module in its socket. It involves removing the screws holding the metal can together but inside the module is sitting in a socket.

Having the same exact issue... with that board and my spare Asrock X370 Killer. Hopefully a fix pops up somewhere. Hopefully someone will point us in the right direction.

XavierMace, I have an X399, so am an observer on all these X370 and AB350 problems with the BIOS/UEFI updates.  It looks like to me that ASRock has turned loose a batch of bad UEFI updates.  So you have a choice to make:  go back to before the problems began or flash to the latest, maybe Beta, Bios and hope for the best.  Lots of users seem to be having good luck with the Beta.
Concerning Drivers:  Get your chip set drivers here: https://support.amd.com/en-us/download
Get other drivers from the manufacturer such as Intel and Realtek NOT from the from the ASRock DL page except in rare cases (eg, RAID) - they are almost always old.  Enjoy, John.

+1. BIOS 4.40 is bad. Beta 4.43 is much better. There are other threads about it and I had problems myself with 4.40 that were fixed by upgrading to 4.43. Other people have reported problems with the WiFi card but I don't use mine. I haven't even taken the aerials out of the box, but it is enabled and has Intel drivers loaded.

Unfortunately 4.40 is the oldest BIOS to support the new chips.  I'm also familiar with where/how to download drivers.  You'll note I mentioned twice already that I've tried multiple drivers.

I'll try the 4.43 tomorrow but I'm not going to hold my breath.  I'd love to know if yours BSOD's if you start using the wireless as I'm curious how consistent this issue is.

I also have the same problem. I use the same board and the 2400G. I got the problem when I full load the wifi (such as speed test). I brought the board in 14 Feb. The bios was updated to P4.40 by the component shop.  I guess the BSOD problem because of the  BIOS update process. For example BIOS may be updated from P3.4 -> P3.6 -> P4.4 but the BIOS was updated from P3.4 -> P4.4. I cannot verify my guess because I don't have another ryzen CPU. Is it really relate by the BIOS update process or not?

No problem. I'll give it a try and report back. Is there anything I should do to try to provoke it, like copying a batch of large files over the network?
