New build. Using one stick DDR4 ram in second slot(wont post in any other slot). The splash screen comes up and I try to select options 'del' or 'F2' to get in bios and things are non responsive. I can ctrl-alt-del the computer fine so the kybd works. So cant get into BIOS

THe stick of ram is G-skill and is as follows: F4-2400C15S-4GNT which I dont see on the compatibility list but is this really a symptom of that?

CPU is A10-9700E Bristol Ridge. Could the BIOS be too old to recognize this chip?

Bought all the other day from Newegg.

Thanks for any help

Kurt

According to this your CPU is supported by all BIOS versions. You'd stand a better chance with a qualified stick of RAM but you might try clearing the CMOS via the jumper before giving up.
