So,

I have a x370 killer sli/Ryzen 1500x/GTX 780
I installed on it an intel 7350 bluetooth m.2 chip

Updated the BIOS to 4.70 (Killer SLI)
Installed 2600

Screen doesn't power on: windows DOES, in fact you hear the sound for "new hardware installed" so the motherboard actually DOES boot up with the new CPU, but screen will not show anything.

Reinstalled 1500x
All works well
Downgraded to 4.60
Reinstalled 2600

Same thing happens

I'll try to uninstall the m.2 wifi chip and try again, but i NEED it. Should i install killer sli/ac firmware?

Did you try clearing the CMOS?

Tried to remove the m.2 wifi card, same thing, it even did the "new hardware installed" sound of windows when it detected the new processor, but still NO SCREEN, how is that possible?

Back to 1500x, all is good

Nothing, 4.70 it's even giving some weird voltage readouts on the 1500x, i think i'll switch to x470 and brand, asrock support it's not giving me any answers.

I hope you realise that this isn't ASRock support. It's just a user forum. You need to open a support ticket to communicate directly with ASRock.

That is very odd indeed....

What GPU are you using and have you tried other outputs (DVI, D-Sub, Display port)?

Do you have a PC speaker connected to the board? If you don't you may want to try that. If the GPU is not detecting with the new CPU it should give you a beep code, 5 short beeps if memory serves. If you just get a single post clear beep then the GPU is detected but not giving signal for some reason.

You can also try the GPU in another slot, it may be that the CPU PCIe lanes are dead or not mapping correctly. Try all the x16 length slots and see if you get any joy. It could be an indicator of a DOA CPU, best to rule it out before you hit the end of your return window.

Let us know how it goes.

I'm also having this issue with an evga GTX 780, x370 Taichi with a 2700x. Tried both bioses 4.6 and 4.7, tried the card in multiple slots, multiple pcie modes. The gpu works fine in another system, and multiple gpus work perfectly fine in my Taichi, both amd and nvidia. Even booted a 7950 and gt 740 together. It's just something specific to this card.

I contacted asrock support, and earlier today was offered an RMA. But it's like they didn't even read my message as I provided plenty of detail. There's nothing wrong with the board and this thread just shows it's something that got botched with the bios with gen2 cpus. I responded to them much later as I didn't see the email initially, telling them that I don't want an RMA, I just want them to patch the bios.

So unless this is something that can't be fixed in the bios and requires an x470 motherboard, and RMA isn't going to change anything. Also, I've tried numerous bioses on the gpu itself to no avail. EVGA wasn't able to help me, and after seeing this thread it makes sense why, because it's something *very* specific that's outside of their control.
