Hello,

Would you please add support for this OS to the BIOS. I tired loading it and the load stopped at the vmw_ahci driver.

Thanks,

A lot of research on this topic has been done and documented here:

https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/home-lab-threadripper-build-thread.18789497/page-6

It looks like the issue is specifIc the Taichi board since the ASUS Prime X399 board works out of the box.

Why people not go to VMWare when an issue arises I will never know.

Wardog,

Thank you for adding background to this thread. This thread shows my point, X399 boards work with EX, but the Taichi does not. I would like for the ASRock engineering team to investigate and resolve the compatibility issue.

Read it carefully, here is the part that matters in the last post:

I am not giving up on the Taichi and will build another machine around that at some point to continue working with it as I still feel that it offers a better feature set than the Prime I have replaced it with. Hopefully ASRock and VMWare come through with some kind of fix to make the Taichi viable.

Hope this helps...
