@ fox

a bit blunt but he is right

the reason its having so much trouble is the settings your asking are right on the limit
i have am4 training on in fact its set to 5 loops/tries

but i dont get that mad full speed fan rush (i know what it sounds like as it happens everytime i flash new bios for the first boot) but i dont get it at all day to day
even at 3466mhz cl14 i get from power button push to asrock splash screen in 10 seconds ish and log in for windows in 15 ish seconds

which bios do i use ????????????????
3.1 Wink

seeing as all 4x versions only bring support for ryzen 2000 why would i bother to change yet

as and when they fully support ryzen 1000 then maybe

have you tried using the ryzen dram calculator ?
and in fact what is your cpu overclock and volts ?
i find to run ram stable i actually had to up my stable cpu volts a little bit
not the soc but the actual cpu volts at 3.9ghz
(the dram and soc are tweaked as well, but the cpu needed more volts to get ram stable on its vcore)

I will try 4.80 because on 4.72 I had more than 2000MB/s worse results im Memory benchmark than on 4.64, even on 3000MHz.

@ cx5 I haven't posted my timings yet because they were embarrasing or not stable:)
On 4.72 I have tried, with my Hynix Corsair 3000, 3000MHz, 1.41V - but BSOD, same as lower 14-16-16-35 on 2933 LLC3, DRAMV 1.40 that lasted almost 3 days when it crashed.

Now it's the fourth day running on 2933 with 16-17-17-35-56, 1T, LLC3 and DRAMV 1.39.

Also, I concur with most points of virpz and Spectre73 so I won't write anything more except - high end board with so long waiting period since last release on the official site and on the other hand almost all their other X370 and X470 got new official update. It was a tough choice between this and Asus X370 Crosshair (Earlier I had one bad experience with Asus on Intel platform), so I got this one and have to stay with it for now.

Hi guys, I just tried v4.80 and it is...DISASTER. I was expecting similar behavior like on 4.72 with better memory benchmark speeds, hoped for 3000MHz. The result is - I can't even boot/post (no memory training). Not on 3000 or 2933 MHz, higher voltages, timings and LLC (lower in case of ASRock) - no go.

I don't know what else I can say about ASRock - Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.
Went back to 4.72, 2933MHz - day 0 and counting...again.

Which CPU? No wonder they didn't release it on their main site... What a lazy company.

Guys keep making noise and maybe Assrock gonna pay attention and realize that motherboards need good bioses too and not only components.

Hi guys,

The last couple of days had TW eMail contact in the right place and we now have the solution for the XMP Powerloss problems.

I have some BIOSes here and little by little all are fixed.

Please be patient for a while.
Kind Regards,
JZ

Thanks for informing us. Funny that an Asrock partner is more responsible than them.

Thanks.

I really want them to fix all the issues that they have been ignoring for so long:

  1. Overclocking resulting in huge Cache/memory bandwidth loss.

  2. Clock generator/bclk not properly working.

  3. Bring PBO settings back to the bios ( PPT, EDC, PTC, scalar ).

  4. Memory "powerloss" ?/Not clocking timing decently at all.

We have been waiting for too long, asking for patience at this point is only valid if they are really going to get the bios fixed and until that happens, we will keep hitting the drums.
