Hi, I'm getting package temperatures of 92 degrees with an arctic freezer 3 360mm AIO (which is working correctly and installed well).
I've just read that Intel have advised many motherboard manufacturers have disabled intels recommended bios settings to get more performance at the cost of stability. Asus and Gigabyte have released bios updates, and MSI have released tutorials on how to set the bios to Intel safe settings. Are you guys planning to release a bios with an intel default settings, or are you going to release a tutorial to show which settings to set to avoid issues? Cheers Michael |

Hi 3di,
Thank you for your post. We just released the new BIOS for the Intel Z790/B760 model with the Intel default setting. Please take a try with the new BIOS. All the best ASRock TSD |

Thanks. Before I download it could you confirm a few things:
1. Does the new BIOS come with an option to choose between the intel defaults and your suggested defaults (what they are now)? Just in case I'd prefer the settings of my current BIOS. 2. What's the maximum safe p1 and p2 temperatures for the i7-14700k? I turned on "Load Intel Base Power Limit Settings", "DTT", "Intel Thermal Velocity Boost Voltage Optimizations " and "Enhanced Thermal Velocity Boost", and I'm now getting 87 degrees C, are long bursts at that temperature likely to cause damage or reduce the CPU's lifespan? 3. When I turn on the two CEP options, my processor becomes 20% slower. Does this mean my voltage is too low? It seems to be set to 1.016 volts in hw monitor, even though it says 1.4 in bios.
