Dear all,
I own a Fatal1ty Z370 Professional Gaming i7 board and bought a Samsung 990 Pro NVME PCIe4. It looks like the NVME is not recognised which is a bad surprise as I trusted PCIe4 is compatible to PCIe3. The BIOS version I have is 1.20. Does it makes sense to upgrade the BIOS? Thanks in advance for feedback. Rgds Andreas and.wendt@gmx.de |

Hi,
Small chances that upgrade will fix your issue, bit go ahead, do it. I have Z390 with the most recent UEFI software (beta) and still facing NVME issues. IMHO this is PCIe 4.0 vs 3.0 compatibility problem - maybe on drive maybe on the motherboard. Have look on my thread in similar case here: https://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=27310&PID=109089 |
