Hi all, thank You PlazmaBern and other thread supporters ! With Your hints installing Win7/64 on my X399 Taichi / TR 1920X worked here. Necessary steps: - Downgrade UEFI Bios to 2.00 (had 3.20 before, installation did not pass first reboot) - UEFI to defaults except PCIe config (Advanced/PBS settings) from Auto to Gen2 (2 x) - Of course slipstreaming installation media with amd allin1 drivers (used 18.10_0830) for usb Performance is good, board is absolutely stable, low power consumption, really nice mainboard ASRock has made. Update Sept. 25 ASRock Support sent a fixed bios 3.33 after my report regarding fix by downgrade to bios 2.00. Upgrade needs 2 steps, from 2.00 to 2.30 ('Bridge Bios') to 3.33. All ok so far, system is still bootable. Edited by stonewall0924 - 25 Sep 2018 at 7:33pm |
