Hello everyone
i have this motherboard H61M-VS3 i know yeah it supports only 2nd and 3th gen cpus but i want to buy a 4th gen cpu will it work fine or with issues ? :'( advice me plzzz |

You will need a new motherboard for 4th gen CPUs as they use a different socket.

You can use any Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, and their Xeon counterpart processors on your socket 1155 board.
But 4th generation Haswell processors use a different socket (1150), and have a very different way they receive power from the mother board. Even if one could fit in your board (it won't fit), the way voltage is supplied to a Haswell processor is so different your board would not be able to make it work. |
