Hi,
I just tried using my ethernet today and when I plug in the cable, the status in Windows says "Network Cable Unplugged." This is a new build. What I have done and checked: * Windows 11 Pro is fully updated. * Installed all chipset and device drivers using the ASRock update utility. * Device manager shows no warnings or unrecognized devices, even with hidden ones showing. * The MB WiFi works. * Device status in Device Manager is "This device is working properly." * I couldn't find anything in the event logs, but you all know how difficult that can be sometimes. * The BIOS is updated to the latest version * LAN is enabled in the BIOS Things I have tried: * Everything on the microsoft support page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-ethernet-connection-problems-in-windows-2311254e-cab8-42d6-90f3-cb0b9f63645f * Disabling/re-enabling my WiFi * Three different ethernet cables, all of which have been validated to work on my old computer: I plug each of them into the old computer, have a valid connection, unplug and then plug into the new computer and have "network cable unplugged status." * Logged in to my router to make sure I hadn't done anything funky with DHCP. As of now, I only have a single reserved address which is for my old computer and a couple hundred free IPs. * I've run the 'Diagnose this connection' wizard and it tells me I need to plug an ethernet cable into the port. This MB is only 32 days old, I really, really hope ASRock has some good support. Thanks. |

You?™re going to love me for this??
Try this following https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/tft3u0/is_realtek_25gbe_lan_issue_fixed/ Note that this fixes it completely for me I don?™t advise turning off flow control however. It?™s the other crap defaults which Realtek set on this card which makes it impossible to connect any other decent network device. |

I bought an Ethernet Switch, and the problem is solved... ASRock owes me a gift card.

Same issue, motherboard installed on Nov 25, 2024 , ethernet port working no problem by Dec 5th, 2024 the ethernet port does not connect.
Checked the network cabling with other devices all work but no activity lights when plugged into the X870E ethernet port 5G. Using WiFi until I find a solution, must have been a patch or update, as it was working. |

According to the Realtek - Ethernet Diagnostic Utility under Cable I have varying wire pairs that are shorted, open or normal when (good)cable is connected and pairs 1-2, 3-6 short and pairs 4-5 & 7-8 open when no cable connected. Had it automagically fix itself for a few hours then back to not working. It connected at 100 and had only one pair shorted then all went normal and was @ 1000. I'm running 1126.21.903.2024 from Realtec website for the RTL8126.
