Hi everybody I have just joined the site. I am trying to do my first build but have problems from the start.
I want to do a trial build just out of the box . The motherboard is a asrock fatality Z97X Killer series using an intel core i7- 4790k LGA 1150 processor ,THE power supply is a EVGA supernova NEX750b Ram G.Skill ARES 16GB. I have installed the ram, installed the processor and heat sink, Attached a monitor and that is all so far From the power supply I connect the 24 pin connector to the motherboard then I connected the 8 pin cpu connector to the motherboard, short the power switch on motherboard the CPU fan starts and shorts straight away, When I disconnect the 8 pin cpu connector short the switch again the fan now runs continuously, I have also tried another power supply same thing happens, can someone please help me out as to what is going on regards norm19 |
