Just upgraded my system from a ASRock Z77 pro 4/i7-3770k-DDR3 to a ASRock fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4/i7-6700k/DDR4 setup.
First couple boots were extremely slow getting to ASRock splash screen, then 20-30 sec before it would respond to DEL key to get to BIOS. Afetr a few times rebooting into Win 8.1 x64 it seemed to be fine. Toady I installed and ran the APP store which said there was a BIOS update from 1.4 to 1.9. Selected it and it downloaded it, pc rebooted but then just stayed on the ASRock splash screen, wouldn't respond to any keys. After 30 min I restarted the computer a few times with the same result. Finally powered off, cleared CMOS via jumper and was able to boot into the BIOS. Which is still 1.40. Does the ASRock APP store method not work and if not how do I update the BIOS?
