My A300 won't boot when installing a new nvme drive.
https://uk.crucial.com/ssd/p3/CT500P3SSD8. SSD series P3 Interface NVMe (PCIe Gen 3 x4) Capacity 1TB Form factor M.2 (2280) If i leave the old drive installed and add new drive in the second slot, it wont even boot to the bios menu, the PC turns on the monitor gets a signal but sits on a black screen. It doesn't matter which slot i install the drive in. I've also tried removing the old drive and just installing the new drive but its the same issue, pc turns on fan spins but cant even access the bios menu. Im running bios version 3.70 |

I've got a very similar problem, Crucial P3 4TB on an A300. Won't POST with it installed in either front or rear M.2 slot. Also updated to BIOS v3.70. Did you ever find a solution?

Hi everyone,
Have the same problem with a Crucial P3 500 Go. Have updated the BIOS to 3.70 but it didn't solve the issue. So far, the solution I've found is to remove the Crucial P3 to be able to go to UEFI, go to Advanced, then AMD PBS, and set the value to "Enabled" for "M2 Slot". Saved changes and exit, and put the P3 back. Upon reboot, the UEFI took a little while to show up, but when it finally did, the P3 is there. That being said, I have now to install the OS. Hope the solution isn't temporary. Hope it helps. |
