Not that I have been able to discover, there are no Xeon E7 v3/v4 CPUs listed on any of the X99 boards I have looked at (from numerous manufacturers). The E7 v2 was supported on some X79 boards but it seems the trend ended after that.

sorry, 1st post edited, I wanted say v3, not v4.
The question is, if it have some compatibilty issue with e7 in general, or a big diference between e5 and e7. I know the compatibility are not including e7, but also does not include some socket 2011 e5 which are working on x99.
Complicated at all but it worth I guess

I am fairly sure that if E7 was supported on the X99 platform manufacturers would have them on the CPU support lists. It is a good selling point if it were the case and I highly doubt marketing would not advertise the support. The fact that not a single X99 board from any of the manufacturers I looked at listed support it means that the chipset and socket are not compatible for whatever reason.
