My Italian is a bit rusty but you should go to 'Visualizza' and then look for some option that looks like 'hidden devices'. This option should bring you some hidden devices you otherwise won't see. The hidden devices have greyed out icons. Sorry, but posting images in this forum is a major pain in the azz.
No sound in Linux is bad. Most likely it's something with the UEFI or the mobo itself. Unfortunately I have no idea which UEFI version will bring you these options. My advice? Go for P3.10 since it has DOS flash method. DOS flashing is a good way to see if your UEFI has some issues. Remember, we're reverting only to verify if the audio will come back. Running latest version is always recommended. To DOS-flash P3.10: clear CMOS; reboot & enter UEFI again; boot from a DOS bootable USB which have the DOS UEFI file; run the .exe; reboot and check Linux Live (easier than deploying Win); P.S. Are you the football player, Andrea Palazzi from Delfini? |

Hi,
if you look at my second image https://postimg.org/image/cpl7x4ool/ you'll se the "hidden devices" grayed out, but theree's no sign of the onboard audio. Which version are you running? 3.10? Can you check if you have the three options enabled/disabled/auto or just two? And no, I'm not the football player :) Bye Andrea |

OK, I just did a reboot to check that. I don't like doing reboots.
I only have 2 options in UEFI P3.10 on my Taichi: Onboard Audio - Enabled/Disabled; Front Panel - HD/AC97; That's the Taichi, though, the one OP has. Yours is slightly different, but I wouldn't be waiting for someone else to post info. I'd go for an UEFI flash. |

Hi, have you guys solved the problem?
Im having the exact same issue while using BIOS ver 3.20. Win 10 is detecting my Realtek speakers ( rear plugged ) as the default playback device. Sound equalizers (L+R) are playing in windows volume mixer, but couldn't get any sound coming out from my speakers/headphones/etc. Win 10 never detect any error everytime I troubleshoot audio playback. Tried to reinstall Realtek driver with the latest version, even removed it completely and used Windows default sound driver, still no result. There is no option for 'Auto' for HD Audio in BIOS, only 'enabled' or 'disabled', already enabled it, still no result. Is it faulty motherboard (RMA)? something wrong with my windows update and I should revert back using system restore? or flash my UEFI to the latest (3.40) ? Im not really sure about the UEFI flash solution though. I would appreciate any input or solution. Thanks. Edited by MarNov - 15 Mar 2018 at 10:07am |
