Hello,

I updated the UEFIBIOS of my X300 from 1.60 to 2.10 to install a new CPU.

The update was done, it rebooted and after this the SATA SSD containing Windows10 in MBR (upgraded from previous Win7 installation some years ago) was not recognized to boot. I cannot find it any more in the list of selectable boot devices.

The CSM option was disabled. So I tried to enable it. But after restart CSM is always disabled, no matter what I set before.

1. What settings are needed to boot a MBR based Windows10 from SATA SSD?
2. Why is CSM option not saved? Other settings in the UEFIBIOS are changed and saved correctly.
3. May I try to get back to Bios 1.70? The "new" CPU will be 3200G which is running with this version.

The SATA SSD itself is visible, when I boot Ubuntu. It is just that I cannot select it for boot any more in the UEFIBIOS.

OK, the root of the evil was "secure boot". When I disable it, I can save the CSM settings. And then the SATA SSD came back.
