For this program, what are the consequences for not installing it? I don't use any of my audio ports on the motherboard or front panel as I don't really connect headphones or speakers to any of the audio ports. I had it installed and it seems to cause conflicts with programs. I can't really remember what I was installing or trying to configure but I experienced twice one of which that the wizard popped up right after installing oculus setup. I spent a couple of hours trying to get audio to my VR headset from the pc and finally figured out that it was Nahimic's POS utility that was causing the issue. Uninstalled it and everything worked perfectly. I should have suspect issues after that stupid wizard popped up without plugging anything in. Is there other issues I might run into by not re intsalling it?
Thanks. |

If you're not using any motherboard audio, why would you install it?
I didn't like the audio on my motherboard (B850M-X [WiFi]), so I bought a USB DAC and DISABLED the onboard audio in BIOS. I also disable any sort of "auto" driver updates, because less is better. For example, I never install Realtek audio stuff, even when I use the audio. Default drivers are less troublesome. |
