Is it possible to use the onboard graphics port even though there are video cards installed on system?
I am have two systems mining Ethereum using two EVGA 1070 SC video cards installed in each system. I also have a home server with no video card and a third system with two old EVGA 960 Video cards that I'm using for mining Ethereum. I bought a 4-port KVM switch that uses VGA connections thinking I could use one monitor, keyboard and mouse for all four systems since they run 24-7 with little interaction needed. Things were OK connecting the Home Server and the system with the old EVGA 960 cards. Then I discovered that the 1070 cards do not support VGA conversion! But the integrated Intel graphics does. So...if I set the BIOS to "Onboard" gragpics will I be able to use a DVI to VGA adpater and run a VGA connected Monitor using the Intel graghics? Or is there more I need to change in the BIOS to make it happen?

You will need to set the "Share Memory" size to any value other than auto/0. That's all you need to do and it should work.

Thanks for the reply. I set the IGU to "OnBoard" before reading your reply (for some reason I did not get an email notification) and all seemed to work OK. I'll have to go back into the BIOS and see what the "Share Memory" is set at since I did not play with it. But all seems ok, the mining software is working and the screen is running via the 4790K onboard graphics. Device Manager now shows the three Display adapters.
Checked the BIOS and as expected "Share Memory" was set to "Auto". System was working ok but based on your comment I changed it to 512K. Nothing appeared to change - everthing still works as advertised. I guess the added memory might come into play if I was doing anything that challenged the onboard video system - but I'm not since all these systems just sit and run 24-7 unattended.
