I recently purchased a new motherboard x99 oc formula with a i7 6850k, 64gb ram, and other stuff like a new heatsink. Early this year I got 2 980ti's and a EVGA 1300watt PSU. I am using the gpus and psu in this build. HOWEVER, I HAVE A PROBLEM!!! After assembling the pc I noticed I am not getting any video at all on either of my monitors. I swap to another gpu and still no video. I noticed the debug code looked like 53 or E5 depending on where you are standing and looking at it. This says it is a RAM ISSUE in the manual.

This is the exact ram I bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EII64B8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Is it possible the ram is not comatible? I did reseat the ram many times in different slots and constantly hit the CLEAR CMOS button.

I can assure you when powered on the board seems to come on fine but I get no video at all and never did. I also noticed no usb device ever got power. So I feel like the issue is between the board, cpu, or ram.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

What is the BIOS installed?

For the i7-6650K you need the P3.00 or P3.10 BIOS

Edit:

Sorry, i7-6850K Wink

Tongue Even his i7-6850k needs at least the 3.00 BIOS.

Voltshell, use the phone listed below first and ask if they'd(ASRock) send you out a free BIOS chip flashed to the latest BIOS for you. Odds are good they will.

Othewise, if you're lucky enough to have an acquaintance that would lend you a proc from the list linked below that has "ALL" to the far right, you can install the ""ALL"" silicon and use it to upflash to 3.00/3.10, then disassemble, installing your 6850.
