Hi all,

I've got a x399 taichi. Bought it in March with all other components needed for a 3d render setup. Threadripper 1950x and MSI 1080Ti to mention the main ones. No overclocking.
All running perfectly for over half year until last night. I set up gpu+cpu rendering for first time. After three hours I found the pc turned off.
Wouldn't start anymore.
Light on motherboard and ram turns on. But no fan or other device. No errorcode either (error code digits remain off).
I removed everything except for cpu and one ram (slot A2 as set out in manual). Still nothing. I cleared the cmos and flashed the latest bios with instant flash). Still same.

Where do I go from here?
Probably next to remove cpu and ram and look if anything overheated.

Any other suggestions?
And if I can't find anything - what to do next? RMA?

Thanks a lot!
Peter

Update:
I took out the CPU as well and tested a different PSU. Still nothing.
So it is definitely the motherboard.
I bought it off Amazon - where to go from here?
Contact the seller via Amazon? Or straight to ASRock?
Sorry - never returned anything...

Thanks for your help!
Peter

Generally you go to the seller first if it is a retail outlet. They will handle the return in most cases. If for whatever reason the option is not available with them then you need to contact ASRock via:

Good luck with the return, sorry to see you couldn't get the system up again.
