Hi

My
ram has begun to act strangely, I loose 4GB of ram sometimes :-( do not know if it's my ram or ram socket. It is perhaps my DDR4_C1 or DDR4_D1 socket that fails.

Is it possible to use sockets DDR4_A1, DDR4_A2, DDR4_B1 and DDR4_B2 together in twin channel?

Or can I just use DD4_A2, DDR_B2, DDR4_C2 and DDR_D2 together?

Regards Daniel

Too, a little more accurate than "It is perhaps my DDR4_C1 or DDR4_D1 socket that fails."

That's a big door to walk through.

As said above, we need to know the full model number of your memory, and the mother board you are using, at the very least.

Is the memory speed over clocked, or not?

You're saying that the memory in the C1 and D1 slots is not seen by the BIOS, or Windows sometimes? How often does that happen?

It is fairly common with X99 systems for memory to "disappear" in some of the slots, I've had that happen to my X99 PC. We don't know if some of your memory slots are damaged yet.

The Intel specs say the '1' slots should be used first, but you can always try to use the '2' slots.

You can put your memory in the A1, A2, B1 and B2 slots, but then you are not using quad channels.
