I've tried everything and cannot figure out what is wrong. I'm not any kind of expert, but I've built a few PCs over the years and never had anything like this happen.
I finished my build, and when I turn the power on, I don't get any video out or a post beep. Motherboard LED lights come on and case & CPU cooler fans spin. Searched the internet and tried everything I could find: 1. Removed gpu 2. Tried HDMI and VGA out on MB 3. Rotated RAM between slots (A2/B2 & A1/B1) 4. Tried 1 RAM module in each slot individually 5. Made sure the RAM was fully seated 6. Reset CMOS (jumper and removed battery) 7. Verified CPU and MB power cables (The psu is new, but used it in a previous build for a month, so it works) With RAM removed, I get 3 short beeps. (I installed a MB speaker.) I see that the BIOS is 1.2, original release. I would flash to current release, but can't since I don't get video out. Build Details: MB: Z270 Extreme4, BIOS version 1.2 CPU: I5-7600K CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S RAM: 2x8 GB G.Skill TridentZ (p/n F4-3200C16D-16GTZ) (verified compatible) PSU: EVGA 650 G3 PSU GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 480 OC SSD: Samsung EVO Any ideas?
