Front USB panel troubleshooting

   Hello,

I installed the B550-HDV motherboard in an old case that has a front USB 3.0 port.

(Specifically, this case: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05681331)

The port worked fine when connected to my old motherboard in this case. That motherboard had a connector for USB 3.0. (Here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05634309)

The connector itself looks identical to the following connector on my new ASRock motherboard called:

USB 3.2 Gen1 Header
(19-pin USB3_5_6)

However, the USB port doesn't work. I am curious if anyone can offer guidance on troubleshooting.

	Hello Is the USB3_5_6 port on your B550-HDV working correctly when you use another front panel or rear bracket?

	Thank you for your reply! Good suggestion. To my knowledge, I have no other way of testing the USB3_5_6 port is functional at all; I have nothing else to connect it to. (There is also a "USB C" front port on the case, but I don't have anything that's USB-C on both ends to see if this would work.) I think (??) I have found an explanation - per the below thread, HP cases use a non-standard layout for its front USB ports that is only compatible with its own motherboard.
