So,

I built this for my son about 6 months ago with Ryzen 1600 and HyperX 2333.

This weekend we were trying some tweaking in BIOS and I followed some youtube guides for this board. Seemed very straight forward. Proved anything but. 3 Beeps followed by one beep and restart. I had to reset the cmos jumper to get it to post again. Returned to defaults, reboot, then back into BIOS and tried a very simple OC of cpu and upped the vcore to 1.3v. No changes to memory speed or timings.

System reboots, then back to windows, the CPU-Z, which reports stock clocks. Rinse repeat about 4 more times - same outcome. NO OC

So I updated BIOS as per the instructions, up to v 5.10. Same outcome - NO OC in CPU-Z.

What the heck am I missing?

Ps- Ive build and OC'd 10-15 gaming rigs. Not a newb, just newb to asrock ;/

Thanks in advance!

how are you even overclocking obviously its not a bootable settings which make its revert to safe defaults.

IN BIOS - setting frequency to 3.6 ghz, Dram settings default speed 2666mhz, bumped vcore to 1.3v. Save settings, exit

Reboots fine, but GPU-Z reporting 3.2 Ghz

Updated BIOS as instructed to v5.10. Tried again, same result. No overclock.

Tried increasing DRAM volts to 1.35, reboots fine , no overclock

No matter what I do, I end up back at Default speeds.
